- Varighed: 3 Dage (Ca.)
- Sted: Yarrangobilly
- Produkt kode: YBILLYFEB
Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Kosciuszko National Park? Join us on a road trip from Sydney to Yarrangobilly, where you will discover the wonders of nature and history.
You will stay in the historic Caves House Wing, a heritage-listed building that dates back to 1901. You will have your own room, single bed, and access to two shared bathrooms in a self-contained wing. You will also enjoy a cozy lounge area and delicious meals cooked for you from the wing’s kitchen.
But the real attraction of this trip is the Yarrangobilly Caves and the thermal pool. The caves are a network of limestone formations that have been carved by water and time over millions of years. You will explore three of the most spectacular caves on guided tours, where you will see stunning stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and flowstones. You will also learn about the history and culture of the caves, which have been used by Aboriginal people, gold miners, and bushrangers.
The thermal pool is a natural swimming spot that is fed by a spring that is located 1km underground. The water is always 27°C, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. You will feel the stress melt away as you soak in the mineral-rich water, surrounded by eucalyptus trees and native wildlife. You might even spot a water dragon or a platypus!
On the way to and from Yarrangobilly, we will also stop at some charming towns and scenic spots. You will visit Yass, a historic town that is famous for its wool industry and its connection to Banjo Paterson, the poet who wrote Waltzing Matilda. You will also see Gundagai, a picturesque town that is home to the iconic Dog on the Tuckerbox statue. You will also have a chance to stop at Jindabyne, a popular destination for skiing and fishing, and Canberra, the nation’s capital. Stops at these towns will be 1 to 2 hours.
And if you are a coffee lover, don’t worry, we have you covered. We will make sure to stop at the best cafes along the way, where you can enjoy a cup of your favourite brew. And for the tea drinkers, Patrick has a special treat for you. He will serve a bushman’s high tea on the way home, featuring scones, jam, cream, and a selection of teas. It will be a delicious way to end the trip.
This is a wonderful, relaxed experience enjoying the beauty of nature and history of Yarrangobilly and Kosciuszko National Park. Don’t miss out on this amazing adventure.
