After Breakfast, we continue North to stop at the Yanchep National Park to visit the Koala Sanctuary. While not native to Western Australia, the the Koalas at Yanchep were first introduced from Kangaroo Island in South Australia in 1938 and have been a popular attraction ever since. In addition to the Koala colony, the park is home to Western Grey Kangaroos, and an array of Bird Species.
We continue North from Yanchep to Wedge Island, a beautiful area with expansive Sand Dunes meeting the clear Blue of the Indian Ocean. Traversing the Sand Dunes in the Land Rover with opportunities to stop and take photos, you will be amazed at the impressive mountains of sand that stretch for miles.
Heading down to the beach there will be time to swim and enjoy a delicious freshly made morning tea.
Next up is the surreal Nambung National Park, home to the Pinnacles Desert. The lunar-like Pinnacles form one of Australia's most unique and fascinating natural
landscapes. Formed over millions of years, thousands of tall limestone spires rise eerily out of the yellow desert sands. As we drive through the desert, there will be several opportunities to stop and walk through these impressive landmarks.
Continuing onwards in the Land Rover we reach Cervantes where we visit the famous Lobster Shack for a factory tour, followed by a seafood lunch including delicious lobster and a glass of wine or beer.
After Lunch we conclude the driving part of the tour and head to the Cervantes Airstrip to board your plane.
Taking off from Cervantes the flight heads southwards down the coast over beautiful beaches contrasted by the stunning blue of the Indian Ocean.
From the plane you will be able to spot reefs, sea-life, and if the tide is low enough even old shipwrecks. As you get to the Northern Perth Suburbs, you will follow the coast past all the sights you saw in the morning, continuing as far as Cottesloe Beach and the Famous Indiana Tearooms.
Flying up the Swan River, you will pass the mansions of "Millionaire's Row," the old Swan Brewery, Perth CBD, Optus Stadium and the WACA before tracking back to the coast and across to Rottnest Island.
Flying around the Island you will be treated to views of the extensive reef systems, past Pinkys Beach, Thompson's Bay and old World War 2 gun emplacements. At certain times of the year, you might also see Government House Lake on the Island turned a pink colour.
Heading back over the water, you soon arrive overhead Fremantle, with views of the Port, popular Boat Harbour and Historic Buildings.
Landing back into Jandakot Airport, the tour concludes with a chauffeured drive back to your accommodation.
