A 7-day adventure through Kakadu National Park & Arnhem Land seeing some of the best natural sites Australia has to offer.  Immerse yourself in the local culture and learn about the traditions and beliefs of the aboriginal people, as well as see historic sites and rarely seen ancient rock art paintings.

Starting in Darwin we'll drive out to Corroboree billabong for a morning cruise.  This a great opportunity to see Saltwater crocodiles in their natural habitat and observe the local bird life.

We'll enter into the world-famous Kakadu National Park and go for a walk and a swim in two of Kakadu’s most-loved waterfalls, Jim Jim Falls and Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) and watch an unmissable Top End sunset at Ubirr rock.  We'll also visit a couple of cultural centres to learn about the local culture and the beliefs and traditions of the aboriginal people.

We'll go on the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise on the East Alligator River, where an Aboriginal guide provides an insight into the local culture and mythology, the river’s abundant food chain, traditional uses for many plants and animals as well as bush survival skills.  About midway through the tour we'll cross the East Alligator River into Arnhem Land and make our first stop at the Injalak Arts & Crafts Centre in Oenpelli where you’ll experience men painting and pandanus women weaving baskets.

Once we reach the Cobourg Pennisula, we'll jump on a boat and cross the water to the Victoria settlement at Port Essington for a guided tour.  You'll learn about the white settlers who once lived there as well as the Makassar people who visited the area and traded with the local aboriginals.  As we make our way back camp they'll be an opportunity to make a catch for dinner!

We'll also explore Garig Gunak Barlu Park by land and take a visit to Smith Point Beacon, a stone structure which sits on the northern most point of mainland Northern Territory.  We'll also see the nearby wetlands and take a walk around Caiman Creek, both activities present great opportunities to see local wildlife in their natural habitants.

As we make our way back to Darwin we'll take in the sites at Mamukala Wetlands & Bird Hide and Fogg Dam.
